Cass County and Logansport carry a rich agricultural heritage, and much of our area is highly productive cropland. In fact, we’re in the heart of Indiana’s most productive corn, soybean and pork producing area.

That makes our area a natural choice for companies involved in or associated with agriculture, such as animal health products and services, crop research, food processing and production, livestock and dairy production, and ag-based energy products such as ethanol and biodiesel.

We’re located on the new Hoosier Heartland Corridor, which provides a continuous four-lane divided highway from I-65 at Lafayette to I-75 near Toledo, and everywhere in between (including convenient access to divided highway, U.S. 31 and I-69). In addition to our extensive road network, we can provide rail shippers Class I service via Norfolk Southern, and a direct connection to the BNSF network through regional carrier RailAmerica. The Winamac Southern Railway is a short-line railroad with lines connecting Logansport to Kokomo and Bringhurst. We’re also a short haul from intermodal facilities in Chicago, Indianapolis, and Ft. Wayne. Locally, we have plenty of existing rail spurs, as well as open land with rail access.
